About 7 minutes of the 22-minute pilot are in the can, but currently I’m stuck again in background creation hell. I still have about 15 more backgrounds to complete, and 5 more characters to rig before I can go back to 100% animation and complete the episode.

I hope I can finish all of these backgrounds in the coming days, but looking at my normal pace of ca. 1–2 days per background (i.e. full working days), I don’t think I can even complete the backgrounds by the end of this month, considering that I’m doing all of this in my spare time.

24 Scenes to go…

Once all the backgrounds and additional characters are complete I can animate the outstanding 24 scenes, so realistically thinking I’ll have to call myself lucky if I can get this done in August, but it starts to look like it’ll take me until September. Well, I kinda might be fun to have it completed before October right in time for Halloween given that Shadywoods about an enchanted forest, poltergeists, witches and the likes. Could be perfect timing? We’ll have to see…
